THE PLEDGE TO END FISCAL MISMANAGEMENT IN ALBANY
“We the undersigned, State Senators and Assembly persons in the New York State Legislature, pledge to end fiscal mismanagement in Albany in 2010 by passing a budget which:
1. Significantly reduces spending;
2. Ends Albany’s historical reliance on increasing taxes as a means of solving budget short falls;
3. Finds a more equitable and cost effective means of funding quality education in New York State;
4. Restores STAR, especially for senior citizens on fixed incomes; and
5. Ends the practice of imposing unnecessary unfunded mandates on local municipalities.”
